It's too cold outside- snowflake nail design

Hello everyone! Hope everyone is enjoying this super cold winter, just kidding! It has been way too cold this winter in the USA, even in the states that usually are not that cold, they are even having cold weather. I know where I live it has been way too cold and snowy and I am just ready for at least Spring time. Anyway we all may be tired of the winter weather, but why not have a pretty snowflake design on our nails, to somewhat enjoy the winter. 

Here are the polishes and nail art tools used to create this snowy nails design:

Base and top coat- CND Stickey Base Coat and CND Super Shiney Top Coat.

Polishes- Zoya- Estelle, Holo Taco- Toppers- Scattered, and Holo Taco- Electric Holo Collection- Circuit Breaker.

Acrylic paint- White.

Nail art tools- Thin striper brush, a small dotting tool, and a makeup sponge for glitter gradients. 

Other- Water to clean off your nail art brushes.

Apply a base coat to clean dry nails.

Let that dry.

Polish all of your nails with a shimmery blue (Zoya- Estelle.)

Let that dry.

Glitter Gradient on all of the Nails: 

First we will start off with a glitter gradient on all of the nails. Take a scattered holographic polish and polish a little bit on the tips of the nails. Now take a makeup sponge with the same glitter polish that you just used and apply some to the sponge, dab the sponge on to the tips of the nails, I did this two times over all the nails to have enough glitter. Then I usually with the polish brush will apply anther thin layer over the tip of the nails, to smooth out what we just sponged on.

Snowflakes:

For the Snowflake we will mainly be focusing near the tips of the nails. To make a snowflake take a thin striper brush with white paint on it and make a cross shape, then an X shape through that. On every line make two to three very small lines. Then to finish off your snowflake, make a very small dot on the very end of each line. 

For even more snow, take a dotting tool with a sliver holographic polish on it and dab the dotting tool on the random blank areas of the nail. 

On all of the nail you can do different amounts of snowflakes depending on your nail length. Some nails I did two snowflakes, some three and some just a half snowflake. 

Once your nails match the outside, apply a top coat to seal in your design and to help it last thought all the winter weather.

Blue Holo Gradient

Hello everyone! Hope everyone is having a good start to the new year. Today on the blog we will be staring off the new year with a more simple design a gradient design, yes I have done this kind of design before, I just love to sometimes just do a simple gradient design and I still wanted to share it with all of you even thought I have done quite a few gradients on this blog. 

On each hand I did do two different colored polishes, still a dark blue (the same dark blue) and then two different light blues. 

Here is the first version on my left hand which was my favorite.

Here are the polishes and nail art tools used to create this blue gradient- 

Base and top coat- CND Stickey Base Coat and CND Super Shiney Top Coat. 

Polishes- KB Shimmer- Plant One On Me Collection- Lilac It Or Not, Zoya Enchanted Collection- Saint, Zoya- Twinkling Collection- Jen, Holo Taco- Toppers- Flakie, and Holo Taco- Toppers- Scattered. 

Nail art tools- Makeup sponge for gradients, and Holo Taco Protective Peel Liquid Latex. 

First when it comes to gradient we need to polish all of our nails with our lights color. (KB Shimmer- Lilac It Or Not), then let that dry. 

Then for creating a gradient from lightest on the tip of the nails to darkest near the cuticle, first take make up sponge and polish your lightest blue polish (I used KB Shimmer- Lilac It Or Not) then polish your darkest blue color (I used Zoya Jen). Then with your lightest color on the tip of the nails, dab the sponge on the nails to make a gradient. 

You will need to do this step few time so your gradient will be opaque. I went over each nail twice. 

For an added holo touch, take a Flakie Holo topper and polish on the darkest part of your gradient and then a Scattered Holo topper right under that, but not all the way down the nail on the lightest part just a little on the lightest part. (you will be able to see this better on the other colors I did on my right hand.)

Now for the second version on my right hand.

For this color scheme we will still use the same dark blue Zoya Jen, this time the gradient will go from darkest on the tip of the nails to lightest near the cuticle. For the lightest color I used a more light periwinkle blue Zoya Saint. For the gradient follow the same steps as before just darkest on the tip and lightest near the cuticle. 

Then once again for the glitter take a Flakie Holo polish on the tip of the nails and polish it on the darkest part then, take scattered holo and polish that on the lightest part but just a little bit not all the way on the lightest part. 

Once you are all finished apply a top coat to seal in your design to help it to last.

Which on of these gradients is your favorite? My favorite is the first on on my left hand, the one I used KBShimmer Lilac It Or Not this gradient I feel has an ocean look to it, which in the summer time I might do again for a nice tropical design.

Easter Time- Easter Nail Design

Hello everyone! Happy Easter! Today on the blog we will be creating a cute Easter nail design with a bunny and a chick in an egg. 

Here are the polishes and nail art tools used to create the Easter design- 

Base and top coat- CND Stickey Base Coat and CND Super Shiney Top Coat. 

Polishes- China Glaze- Chalk Me Up!, Zoya Mini- Daisy, Zoya Mini- Rayne, Zoya Mini- Leslie, Zoya Mini- Eden, Holo Taco- Polar Princess, and Sally Hansen- Hard as Nails- Hard to get. 

Acrylic paint- White, black, yellow, green, red, and pink. (mixed yellow and red for orange if you don't have an orange paint.) 

Nail art brushes- Thin detail, linear and stripper brushes. 

Apply a base coat and let that dry.

Polishes- 

Thumb- a light blue cream polish ( China Glaze- Chalk Me Up!)

Index- a light yellow shimmer (Zoya- Daisy)

Middle- a light blue shimmer (Zoya- Rayne)

Ring- a light purple shimmer (Zoya- Leslie)

Pinky- a pink cream polish (Zoya- Eden) 

Then take an iridescent polish, Holo Taco Polar Princess and polish it over the pink to give the pink a shimmer. 

Let that dry. 

For this design we will just be creating nail art on the ring finger and the thumb nail. The Index, middle and pink nail will just stay the blank colors with no nail art. 

Chick in the Egg on the Ring Finger Nail- 

For your little chick I first made an outline of him with white and then went over him with yellow that way the yellow would pop more/ you can see it better.

First take a linear brush with white paint on it and make a large oval in the middle of the nail, add two lines above his head for hair, make a small half body for your chick too, we will let that dry. 

Once your base white has dried take a yellow paint and paint over the white a few time until it is opaque. 

For the egg shell make some triangle shapes along your nail above your chick, then fill in the bottom half of the nail with white polish. 

Lastly for his face make two small black dots for his eyes and then for his beak take a orange paint and make a small upside down triangle.

Easter Bunny on the Thumb Nail- 

On the thumb nail we will make a bunny in the grass. Take a detail brush with white paint on it and make a circle in the middle of the nail and fill that in for his head, then for his ears make two small oval shapes. For his body make a large oval, then for his arms make two thin oval shapes on each side of his body. 

Let that dry. 

For his face take that same detail brush with black paint on it and make two small dots for his eyes and one user that for his nose. 

Then take a stripper brush with black paint on it, make a few lines on the side of his face for whiskers. Then make a small line down his nose and a curved line for his smile. 

Lastly for his ears make a thick oval shape in his ears with pink paint. 

Now will need to make the grass for our bunny to sit in. Make sure you have two greens, a light and a dark green. First take your light green on a stripper brush and make some grass like lines under/ on your bunny, then do the same with a darker green. 

Once your nails are Easter ready apply a top coat to seal in your nails and to help them to last.

Here is the practice version of the Easter design. I actually like how the chick turned out in the practice version because he looks chubby, I could not get him to look like this on my nails, my nails are not as wide as the nails that I practice on.

Love The Ocean- Ocean Gradient Nail Design

Hello everyone! Today on the blog we will be creating a very simple ocean themed nail design. I know that now that it is September many people are in the fall mood, if you are like me just because it is the first few days of September it don't mean that it is automatically fall. So if you are still in the mood for summer then this ocean nail design is just for you. 

For this design I have created other ocean design with my tropical designs that I have done, for this design it will only be a simple ocean nail design, no palm trees or anything to hard.

Here are the polishes and nail art tools used to create this ocean nail design: 

Base and top coat- CND Stickey Base Coat and CND Super Shiney Top Coat.

Nail Polishes- Zoya- Twinkling- Alessia, Orly- Kelli's Solstice- Kell's Galaxy Remix Trio, and Holo Taco- Beach Please- Vacation collection.

Acrylic paint- White.

Nail art brushes- thin stripper and flat brush.

Other- Makeup sponge, and water to clean off your nail art brushes.

Apply a base coat, let that dry.

Polish-

Thumb- A dark glitter blue polish (Zoya- Alessia)

Index, middle, and ring finger nails (This is your base color polish)- Glitter sand looking polish (Holo Taco- Beach Please) 

Pinky- A shimmer light blue polish (Orly- Kelli's Solstice)

Let that dry.

For the ocean we will be creating a gradient staring with the dark blue polish, the light blue and the sand colored on the tips of the nails.

First take a makeup sponge staring with Holo Taco Beach Please (sand color), Orly- Kelli's Solstice (light blue), and Zoya Alessia (dark blue). Polish each color on to your sponge slightly overlapping each other. 

Then on the ring finger nail first dab the sponge on to the nail. Repeat this step for each nail, then going back and repeat the last step with the polish and dabbing again, until opaque (it took three times) 

Apply a top coat, to smooth the gradient together. 

Let that dry.

For some small details, we will add small waves. First take a small flat brush, with a very small amount of white paint that is watered down and where the sand and water meet start to dab the flat brush along the nail. 

For the smaller waves make a few lines with your stripper brush in the ocean and then with the same flat brush, staring on the lines pull up on the brush to make small waves. 

Once you have your ocean nail design just right, apply another top coat to the ocean design that we just finished, along with the other nails.

Disney 100 Anniversary Nail Design

Hello everyone! Today on the blog we will be celebrating 100 years of the Disney company. This years we Disney is celebrating 100 years of the Disney company as a whole. In October 2021 it was Disney World's 50th anniversary, which was will be ending soon, now it on to the Disney 100 year anniversary. I did create two 50th anniversary design, so it was only right to make a 100th design too. Also this celebration is called Disney 100 years of wonder and the official date is October 1. 

Here are the polishes and nail art tools for this wonderful Disney nail design:

Base and top coat- - CND Stickey Base Coat and CND Super Shiney Top Coat.

Polishes- Zoya- Urban Grunge- Alicia, Zoya- Urban Grunge- Finley, and Color Club Halo's- Harp on. 

Acrylic paint- black and white.

Nail art tools- thin detail and sniper brush.

Other- water and acetone to clean off your nail art brushes.

Apply a base coat to clean dry nails.

Let that dry. 

Polish-

Thumb and pinky nail- Silver holographic polish (Zoya Alicia)

Index, middle and ring nails- Dark purple holographic polish (Zoya Finley)

Let that dry. 

100 on the index and middle finger nails-

First we will start off with the number 100 on the index and middle fingers. First we will create an outline with white paint. 

Take a stripper brush with white paint on it, on the index nail make a line down the middle of the nail and then a slanted line on the top for the 1.  

For the 00 on the middle finger nail, the two zero's will over lap, once again take the stripper brush with white paint on it, staring on the left side make a 0, then over lapping that 0 and make  another zero. 

Once you are happy with your outline take a silver holo (I used Color Club Halo's- Harp on) and go over the white outline.

The Disney D letter on the ring finger nail-

Next we will make the Disney D on the ringer finger nail. This part is hard, I even a trouble with this one. Once again we will make the outline with white paint, take your thin detail brush first make the small line that you see in the photo above, then make the small curve on the right side of the line we just made, then make a large curve around that line. Then keep go in a D shape going up the side of the nail. Hopefully that makes sense. 

Once you have the shape right once again take the silver holo polish that you used for the 100 and go over your outline, making sure to make the curve near the top of the D thicker. 

Small Mickey on the Pinky Nail- 

On the pinky nail we will make a small Mickey on the corner of the nail. Take a detail brush with black paint on it make large circle, then make two small circles on the top of that for Mickey's ears.

Mickey on the Thumb Nail- 

Lastly we will make Mickey peeking out of the corner of the thumb nail. First take your stripper brush with black paint, make a large circle almost as big as the nail. Then we will make the triangle shape on top of Mickey's head, then make a thicker line going around his head. 

For Mickey's ears make a large circle near the top of Mickey's head, then half of a circle on the bottom side of his head, that is not showing hardly at all. Also fill that in with black paint. 

Now on to Mickey's face, make a curved line for where his eyes will set then two half ovals for his eyes, fill those in, then lastly make an oval for his nose, and then fill that in.   

Once your nail design is just right apply a top coat to seal in your design to help your design to last though your Disney celebration.
