Hello everyone! Today on the blog we will be taking a look at the indie brand Mooncat the Plant Nyarr collection. This brand is kind of new to me, I mean I have known of them, I just have never purchased from Mooncat before. Originally, they were the brand Live, Love, Polish where they just sold different brands of polish. Since Mooncat had changed their name and brand I have been kind of interested in trying them out, and then the Plant Nyarr collection came out and I decided to finally give them a try, which they did not disappoint. ☺️
This collection actually has nine special effect polishes in it, I just decided to get six of the polishes, the other three were glow in the dark polishes that I decided to pass on. The Plant Nyarr collection has two glitter polishes, a shimmer polish, and three magnetic polishes.
Let's take a look at the collection.
First we have Whiskered Willow this is a purple/ lavender polish that has a lot of glitter and some multicolor reflective and holographic glitter in it as well.
This polish was sheer on the first coat and it did build up in three coats.
This polish is very pretty, although the polish was a little on the sheer side and took three coats to be opaque, the formula still was not too bad. This polish is a glitter bomb so you will need to do the soak-off method to get this polish off easier.

Second we have Litterbox the light pink sister to Whiskered Willows, this is another polish that has a lot of glitter and some multicolor reflective and holographic glitter in it as well.
The formula was just like Whiskered Willows, kind of sheer on the first coat and did build up in three coats.
Litterbox is very pretty as well, love all of the glitter and how shinny this polish is. If only a real litter box looked just like this one. 😄

Third we have Swim, My Dolphins on the nail, which has a purple base with a blueish, green, teal shimmer shift to it. In the bottom it is the opposite.
This polish was also very sheer on the first coat and was still kind of sheet even on the third coat. On the website this polish does look more opaque then it actually end up being in person which may be disappointing for some, it was a little for me, I still love this polish anyways it is still very pretty.

Fourth we have Nyarrian Nights this is a multichrome magnetic polish that has a purple base and shifts between pink and red- orange, it also has a blue shimmer to it when it is magnetized. All of these colors really start to show when this polish is magnetized.
This polish also was sheer on the first coat, then the second coat it was more opaque, with all of these polishes I did feel like I needed to apply three coats to be opaque, this polish I did need to apply three coats as well.
This polish I would have to say was one of my favorites, it is so unique which is hard to say with someone that does have a large collection, this polish was just so cool and how it shifts into the different colors, that you don't usually see in a polish.

Mooncat Plant Nyarr- Nyarrian Nights
Fifth we have Blueberry's Jam this is a magnetic polish that has a purple base with blue flakies in it, the base looks very dark once it has been magnetized this polish looks almost black.
This polish once again was very sheer on the first coat and took three coats to be opaque.
This polish was also one of my favorites because of it looking so unique, with the color shift and the flakies in it and it being magnetic.

Lastly we have Electromagnetic Furball this is another magnetic polish that has a dark purple base, that has bronze flakies in it, once it is magnetized and has a lighter purple shift to it once you magnetize it. I do feel like the flakies are hard to see. Also just in the bottle you can see a shift of green, which you cannot see on the nails.
This polish once again was sheer on the first coat and took three coats to be opaque.

In conclusion I really enjoyed this collection and I am glad that I decided to finally purchase Mooncat polishes. My most favorite polishes like I had said above is Nyarrian Nights, all of the magnetic polishes were so pretty and unique, that was what really got me to purchase this collection not only the polishes looking very pretty, but how unique they where, especially the magnetic polishes.
