Merry Christmas Happy Holidays!

Hello everyone! I just wanted to do a quick post telling everyone Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! Also sorry I have been missing in action lately. I have been feeling sick on and off for a few weeks now, and I ended up feeling worse and had to go to the doctor. I have had a bad cough and got a viral infection. But now I have some medication that the doctor gave me, so hopefully I will be back blogging very soon.
I still plan to do a Star Wars design, even though the movie has been out for a few weeks, I'm sure all of you would still like to see that design. Also I recently got some cool stuff from Zoya that I would like to share with all of you.

See all of you soon! I look forward to sharing more colorful, bright, an fun tutorials in the coming year!

Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays!

Have a safe and Happy New Year as well!

It Smells Like Snow!- Winter Design

Hello everyone! It's that time of year again when it starts to snow, this can either be a good or bad thing. I personal don't care for the snow, but it does look pretty, sometimes. One place that snowflakes always look pretty is on your nails. As you may have guessed this week we will be creating a pretty snowflake design.

Snowflake nail design Final snowflake nail design

The nail polish and tools used for this snowflake design will be right next to the images as we go.

The skill level for this snowflake nail design is:

Beginner Basic

This design is great for beginners. It is simple and easy to create, all you really need to do is try to keep a steady hand when drawing the snowflakes.

Let's start this winter snowflake nail design!
Base coat used Nicole OPI-  3in1- base, top, & strengthener.

1. Start off with a base coat to protect your nails.

Polish used Zoya's Dream

2. Then paint all of your nails with a shimmer blue polish. I used the very beautiful Dream by Zoya, this color is so amazing and shinny, and I that it went very well with this design.

White acrylic paint and a small thin nail art brush.

3. Next we will be making the snowflakes, we will make a large one and a small one. Depending on the size of your nails, you can make more or less snowflakes. Start off with a thin nail art brush dipped into white paint and make a star shape, like the photo above.
4. Now we will start to make the snowflake look like a snowflake. For this snowflake we will make two arrows on each line of the star shape.
5. Once you have finished your first snowflake it should like the photo above. Next we will make half of a snowflake near the tip of the nail. With your thin nail art bush dipped into white make three lines, then two arrow shapes on top of the lines.

Final nail design. Polish used for dots Color Club Halo's- Harp on,
and medium and regular size dotting tool

6. For the final touch on your snowflake nails, we will add dots for the small snowflakes. Take a medium dotting tool dipped into a silver holographic polish and make dots on some of the empty space around your snowflake. Then with the regular or small doting tool repeat this step again.

Top coat used, - Revlon Extra Life No Chip top coat

Once your snowflake nail design has dried apply a top coat, to seal in your pretty design.

With all snowflakes they all look different, so for this design on each nail you can change up how you make your snowflakes, some of them I kept the same and just changed the size, and other I changed how they looked. It's all up to you on how you want your snowflakes to look.

Hope all of you enjoyed this pretty snowflake nail design!

PlayStation

Hello everyone! Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving (if you celebrate it) Also sorry I did not do a post last week. I had the design all ready to go, I just didn't have the tutorial post typed up. Unfortunately I started to not feel well, so I didn't get a chance to finish typing the post.

Anyways for this week I decide to do another nerdy nail design, PlayStation nails. Last year I did a Little Big Planet/ Sackboy nail design and that post has got a lot of view, So I thought that maybe all of you would be interested in a PlayStation nail design.

PlayStation nail design
PlayStation nail design with the PS4 controller.

This is the area that I usually put the nail polishes and tool that we will need to use to create this design, but I thought that I would try something a little bit different and put the polishes and tools used right by the photo. We will see which one works out better having the polishes and tools in the beginning or as we go.

The skill level for this PlayStation nail design is:

    Beginner

For the most part this design is simple and easy to create. Due to it just consisting of simple shapes. The only part that might be a little bit hared to create is the PlayStation logo on the thumb nail.

Let's start this fun PlayStation nail design!

Base coat used Nicole OPI-  3in1- base, top, & strengthener

1. Apply a base coat to protect your nails.

Polished used Sally Hansen- Hard as Nails- Black Heart

 2. Paint all of your nails black.

White Acrylic paint and a small slanted nail art brush.

3. Then we will be creating all the main buttons on the PlayStation controller, the X, O, triangle and square button. First we need to make the outline the the buttons with white to make sure that the color will show over the black background. Take your thin nail art brush dipped into white paint and make a X on the index nail, a O on the middle finger nail, a triangle on the ring finger nail, and a square on the pinky finger nail.

4. As we let the buttons on the other nails dry we will make the PlayStation logo on the thumb nail. For the logo I forgot to first take a photo of the P then the S, so in the photo above it is almost done. For the logo first start off with your thin nail art brush dipped into white paint and paint a large P, then make a S like shape around the P.

Acrylic Paints used blue, red, green, white & red mixed together to make pink.

5. Now that the white outline of the buttons has dried, we can go over the white with the colors of the buttons. For the X go over that with a blue, the O a red, the triangle with green, then the square with a pink, if you don't have a pink and are using paint you can mix red a white together to get the pink you want.

PlayStation nail design
 Final PlayStation nail design

For some final touches on the PlayStation logo on the thumb nail, we will add a few black lines. With a clean thin nail art brush draw a line down the middle of the P, so the P is not attached and on the other side of the S draw a line on that as well. Then at the bottom of the P draw a line to make the P slanted at the bottom.

Then if needed to fix some of the buttons, you can go over it with a little bit of black paint. Like the O was it little off, so I just went over some of the O with black paint to make it all the same shape.

PlayStation nail design
Top coat used Revlon Extra Life No Chip top coat.

Once your PlayStation nails have dried apply a top coat to seal in your design.

Hope all of you enjoyed this PlayStation nail design! This is a great way to show your love of gaming or as always just a fun design to create on your nails.

Also if you like this design and have not checked out the Little Big Planet Sackboy design, click the link below to give that design a try as well.

Pika- Pika- Pikachu/ Pokemon Design

Hello everyone! Today on the M.M.M blog we will be creating Poke balls and Pikachu nails. Their really is no reason that I wanted to create this design for all of you, other then just for fun. My hubby and I did just recently went to an anime convention, that was why I didn't post a few weeks ago and even though that is over with I still thought it would be cool to make Pokemon themed nails. I am personally not a big anime fan, I pretty much just like Pokemon and a little bit of Hello Kitty.

Pokemon, Pikachu/ Poke ball nail design
Pika- Pika, Pokemon/ Pikcahu nail design

Here are the nail polishes and nail tools used for this Pikachu/ Poke ball design:

Base and top coat- Nicole OPI-  3in1- base, top, & strengthener and - Revlon Extra Life No Chip top coat.

Nail polishes- Sinful Color-Let's Meet, Finger paints- Cubism Crimson, and China glaze- white on white.

Nail art polish-  Kiss nail art stripper- Black.

Acrylic paint- black and white.

Nail art brushes- thin slanted nail brush, and small thin nail brush.

Nail art tools- small glass jar with nail polish remove in it, and a cup of water to clean your brushes.

The Skill level for this Pikachu/ Poke ball nail design is:

Beginner to Intermediate

This design has some simple elements to it, the Poke balls are for the most part simple to make. Pikcahu can be a little bit harder to make due to the small parts of his face. Other then that their is not that many small details to this design, which makes it a little bit easier to create. That is why this design is both for beginner and for more intermediate level nail artist.

Let's start this Pickachu / Poke ball nail design! Pika- Pika!!

1. Start off with a base coat to protect your nails.

2. First we will make the shape of Pikachu's head. With a bright yellow nail polish make a curved line near the middle of the nail, then fill in the rest to the nail tip.

3. The other nails we will make Poke balls. Paint the top part with a red nail polish, and then the bottom near the nail tip with a white nail polish.  For the top part you can first swipe the polish across the nail then fill in the top. It is okay if the red and white polish do not look perfectly lined, we will fix that later.

4. Now back to Pikachu. We will add his ears, just take the brush that came with the nail polish and swipe on the sides of his head two ears.

5. Next we will make Pikachu's face. With a thin nail art brush dipped into black paint start off by making kind of an outline of his face, his eyes, nose, and mouth.

6. Once you have the outline of Pikcahu's face, with your black paint make Pikachu's eyes bigger and if need you can make his nose a little bit bigger.

7. For Pikachu's ears he has black at the tips. With a thin nail art brush dipped into black paint make a triangle on the tip of each ear, then fill that in.

8. Now to add Pikachu's red checks and a cute tongue sticking out. Take your thin nail art brush dipped into a red nail polish (I found that using acrylic paint near the tips of the nail would wear away faster, and that it is better to use polish.) and make a circle on each side of his face. Then just swipe a small line near his mouth for the tongue.

9. Back to the Poke balls, we need to add a black line in the middle of the red and white. Take a black nail art stripping polish, starting from one side of the nail then going to the middle, then on the other side met the line you just made. Make this line some what thick, you may need to go over this a few times to make it thick enough.

10. Next we will make the center part of the Poke ball. Take a thin nail art brush dipped into black paint and make a small circle in the middle of the line you made.

11. Once the black circle has dried, take your clean thin nail art brush dipped into white paint and make a smaller circle in the middle of the black circle

Then to finish Pikcahu, we just need to add the white circles in his eyes. Take your thin nail art brush dipped into white paint and just dot the brush on the black circles for his eyes.

Which Pokemon is your favorite? My favorite has always been Pikachu ever since Pokemon was introduced to America from Japan because I thought he was one of the cutest Pokemon.

With this nail design you can always change the Pokemon to whichever Pokemon that is your favorite, or just keep Pikachu.

Hope all of you enjoyed this Pikachu/ Poke ball nail!

Good Grief, Peanuts

Hello everyone! If you noticed the title of today's post Good Grief, then you may recognize  this phrase from a cartoon that you watched, when you where younger or even when you are older too, the Peanuts. The design we will be doing this week is to celebrate the new release of the Peanuts movie that was just released November 6. If you are like me then you grew up watching the Peanuts and have always enjoyed watching the Holiday specials that come on ever year, so when I found out their was going to be a movie I was very excited!

Peanut nail design
Good Grief, Peanuts nail design. With the Pop Peanuts figures,
love these the Pop figures they are all so cute!

The nail polishes and tools used for this Peanut design is:

Base and top coat- Nicole OPI-  3in1- base, top, & strengthener and Revlon Extra Life No Chip top coat.

Nail polishes- Finger paints- Tiffany importer, Sinful Color-Let's Meet, China glaze- white on white, and Sinful Color- HD Nails.

Acrylic paint- black, white, red, and yellow.

Tools- thin slanted nail art brushes and large dotting tool.

The skill level for this Peanut nail design is:

 Intermediate

This design can be difficult due to the small details and outlining of Snoopy, Woodstock, and Snoopy's house. Then some elements that are more simple like the clouds and Charlie Browns shirt.

Good grief let's get this design started all ready!

1. Apply a base coat to protect your nails.

2. Paint all of your nails a sky blue expect your ring finger nail, paint that nail a yellow.

3. First we will start off with Snoopy on the thumb nail. As usual we will be using acrylic paint for the small parts of the designs. Take your thin nail art brush dipped into white paint and make the shape of Snoopy. I first started off making the shape of the top of his head, his nose, then the ear and his neck.

4.Then outline the Snoopy's shape with black paint, and don't forget his smile. This part is a little bit treaty, you just have to be careful and slowly outline your character.

5. After that make his eye, eye brow, nose, and then the black part of his ear with black paint.

6. On to Snoopy's friend Woodstock on the index nail. Just like Snoopy we will start off with just the shape of Woodstock. Take you clean thin nail art brush dipped into yellow paint and make the shape of Woodstock. I first stared off the his head, his feathers, then his neck.

7. Just like Snoopy we need to outline him. With black paint just follow the shape you made to outline him.

8. Now we will make Charlie Brown's shirt. Take your thin nail art brush dipped in black paint and make a zig zag pattern that resembles Charlie Brown's shirt.

9. As you can see the pattern looks to thin, so we will need to make it thicker by going over it one more time.

10. Next on the middle finger nail we will make Snoopy's house. Take your clean thin nail art brush dipped in red paint and make the roof part of Snoop's house, a square like shape with slanted lines on both sides, then a smaller square attached for the bottom part of the house.

11. Once again we need to outline Snoopy's house with black paint. This is a little bit easier due to the more simple shape.

12. Lastly on the pinky nail we will make clouds, I only make two because this nail is very small. To make clouds dip your large dotting tool into white polish and make two dots at the bottom, two at the top, and one on each side.

Peanut nail design
To finish up your Peanuts design, with Snoopy we just need to add a collar, you can do this by just swiping a little bit of red paint on his neck. As for Snoopy's house we just need to add some lines for some more details. Make a half line on the roof of the house and then a longer line under that one, then on the bottom part draw one more line under that one. Then we just need to add grass, you can do this by just taking a green polish and swiping it at the bottom for the grass, you may need to go over this three times for it be opaque enough.

Once your nail design has dried apply a top coat to seal in your design.

Hope all of you enjoyed this Peanut nail design, that you can wear to the movie or just for fun!

See you next time for more fun nail tutorials!
