Tropical Vibes- Tropical Nail Design

Hello everyone! Today on the blog we will be creating another tropical design, my favorite designs for this time of year, Summer time! For this design we will be using two of the polishes form the Holo Taco Lite Mode collection, along with the scattered Holo Taco topper, to create an ocean color nail design, with tropical vibes.

Here are the polishes and nail art tools used to create this nail design:

Base and top coat- CND Stickey Base Coat and CND Super Shiney Top Coat.

Polishes- Holo Taco-Wireless Mode- Lite Mode Collection, Holo Taco- Lite Link- Lite Mode Collection, and Holo Taco- Scattered.

Acrylic paint- Black and white.

Nail art brushes- Thin stripper and detail brush.

Other- Water to clean off your nail art brushes.

Apply base coat to clean dry nails.

Let that dry.

Polishes-

All of the nail we will be using two polishes to create a gradient. Holo Taco Lite Link (multichrome green) on the left side and Wireless Mode (mutlichorme blue) on the right side.

Gradient on all of the nails:

For the ocean effect on the nails we will do a lazy gradient (that what Cristine Simply Nailogical calls it). The lazy gradient just requires the brush that is in the polish. The lazy gradient method,I think is best done with light colored polishes like these ones.

First take your blue polish Wireless Mode and polish that on the nails only going half way on the nails, then right away polish your green Lite Link on the other half, making sure you over lap the polishes so they can blend together. You will need to do three layers so the nails will be opaque enough.

Let your gradient dry.

We will be creating our tropical design on our ring and middle finger nails. I will not be going in detail about how to create the palm trees because I done a lot of tropical designs, so I feel that I don't need to explain how to create a palm tree each time.

Two palm trees on the ring finger nail:

Anyways for this design I first started with the ring finger nail. First we will make a large palm tree on the right side of the nail and then right under the large palm tree make a smaller palm tree.

For the water, take a small bit of white paint on a detail brush make a few small lines and before it dries smudge those lines to make waves in the water.

Palm trees and islands on the middle finger nail:

For the middle finger nail on the right side make an island shape by just making a thick line that has three hills on top of that line.

Then make two palms trees on the left side of the nail, make one large palm tree that is close to the cuticle and then a small one under that one. Then make a small island that the palm trees will be on.

Repeat the step for the water under the island/ beside the palm trees.

For a final touch in the sky, you can apply a scattered holo top coat to give a star look to the sky.

Also on all of the other nail with just the gradient I applied the scattered holo taco top coat.

Once your nail design is ocean and tropical vacation ready, apply a top coat to seal in your design and to help to last though your tropical vacation.

All of the designs that I create I always practice them, sometimes if I feel like they turned out very good I will share them on the blog.

Hope all of you enjoyed this tropical ocean themed nail design. I thought blending the two polishes for the Holo Taco Lite Mode, Wireless Mode and Lite Link blended very well together and really gave an ocean look to the nails.

See you next time for more nail fun!
