Random Polish Time- Nail Polish Review

Hello everyone! Today we have a random post, as a nail polish lover I continuously by nail polish to where my collection as grown to 223 bottles of polish, a lot of times now I will be at the store and I will look at a bottle of polish or collection and I will like the polish but I will not be sure if I all ready have that same color or a color very close to it (the problems of having to much nail polish.) Anyways a few moths ago I found three polishes one at Sally Beauty and two at Walmart that I felt like where worth doing a small review on.

Finger Paints and Color Club

First we will take a look at the polish from Sally Beauty, Finger Paints.

Finger Paints Legendary Lore

 Finger Paints Legendary Lore

The first polish we have is called Legendary Lore from Finger Paints this polish is a pink iridescent polish with a gold shift/ shimmer. This polish applied well in two coats, it looks like it would be kind of a sheer polish, but it was not as sheer as it appears to be.

This polish I really liked more so then I thought I would, I was drawn to this because of the iridescent gold shift in the pink. This polish I feel like say summer, almost like a sunset or sunrise type of color.

The brand Finger Paints can be found at Sally Beauty (I think this brand is a Sally Beauty Brand, you can only find it at Sally's) this polish is part of their Spring Summer collection, the Fantasy collection, their where four polishes in this collection, I am not sure if you can still find this collection at Sally's, at the time that I typed up this post it was still available on their website.

Finger Paints- legendary lore at Sally Beauty for $4.99 (says Clarence on the website)

Color Club- It's a Sauna Out Here- Mood changing polish, both colors shown in a gradient.

Next we have Color Club- It's a Sauna Out Here the mood/ color changing polish. These types of polish change color with hot and cold temps, mainly if you get your hands are wet in hot or cold water, or you go into a room or outside and the temperature is very cold or hot.

Color Club- It's a Sauna Out Here- Mood changing polish
Color Club- It's a Sauna Out Here- Mood changing polish, hot pink when warm

The color that this polish mainly stayed for me at least was hot pink, for when your nails/ hand are warm. This is also the color of the polish when you look at it in the bottle and first apply it to your nails.

Color Club- It's a Sauna Out Here- Mood changing polish
Color Club- It's a Sauna Out Here- Mood changing polish
Color Club- It's a Sauna Out Here- Mood changing polish, red orange when cold.

When your nails/ hands are cold then your polish will turn a red orange. For my photos I did have to keep dipping my nails in hot and ice water to show each color.

This polish has a velvet matte finish when first applied and then gets glossy when a topcoat is applied. It applied very well in one coat, but I applied two coats for good measure.

As for the color changing part it is very cool, but most of the time this polish did stay hot pink, it was probably because it was warm when I wore this polish, but I still really liked this polish.

Also above I want to show the bottle, it shows the gradient of the polishes if your nails are both hot and cold. I also tried to show both the hot and cold on my nails in the above photo, but it is kind of hard to see, but hopefully I showed enough of the colors chaining in the photos in this post, with the gradient colors, hot and then cold.

I found this polish (and the holo Color Club) at Walmart, Color Club polishes I feel are hard to find in store I have gotten lucky a few time, I found some at Meijer years ago and then just recently at Walmart. Most of the Color Club polishes I purchase are from Live Love Polish.com.

Color Club- It's a Sauna Out Here Walmart.com for $7.63, looking at my receipt I actually paid $3.50 for this in stores.

Color Club- it's a sauna out here  Color Club.com for $10.00.

Color Club Black Magic- Holographic polish
Color Club Black Magic- Holographic polish
Color Club Black Magic- Holographic polish

Like any polish review or when I purchase any polish it just seem incomplete or just wrong, if  I don't have a holo polish. So of course I had to get just one. I know you may be thinking this is the most random one, you have these two bright colors then a black polish. When I was at the store I was looking at a pink holo and this black holo, and the pink looked to close to a polish I already had, so I went with this. This polish is the darkest polish out of this review, but because of the holographic in it actually gives it some brightness with all the rainbows in it, if you look at it in that way.

Anyways Color Club Black Magic is a black holographic polish, with a linear holo shift to it. This polish applied very well in two coats, all of the Color Club holo polishes and polishes in general that I have purchased have always had really great formula's and this is also had the same great formula as well.

In conclusion I liked all of these polishes, they all applied well and look beautiful. Most of he polishes that I purchase I always like, If I don't then they are returnable, which has recently happen to me.

Hope all of you enjoyed this random polish review.

See you next time for more polish fun!

Fiery Sunset- Tropical Sunset Nail Design

Hello everyone! It's that time of the year again, summer time when I love to create tropical nail designs. Anytime I create a tropical nail design it make me want to go on a tropical vacation, but unfortunately we can't always go on one, so why not create a mini vacation on our nails.
Also the tropical design is all created with acrylic paint and a white polish as the base (the part you can't see under the tropical design.)

 Tropical Sunset Nail Design

Here are the nail polishes, paints, and nail art tools used to create this warm tropical nail design:

Base and top coat - CND Stickey Base Coat and Revlon Extra Life No Chip top coat.

Nail polishes-  Sally Hansen- xterme wear- Sun kisses and Essie- Coconut Cove (this is your base color for your tropical design)

Acrylic paint- White, black, red, blue, and yellow.

Nail art brushes-  Medium flat brush, small fan brush, small detail brush, and a stripper brush.

Other- small cup or jar with water in it to clean off your nail art brushes.

Let's get ready for a nice, warm, and sunny tropical vacation!

As always start off with a thin layer of base coat to protect your nails and to help your tropical design to last through your vacation.

Let your base coat dry.

Once your base coat has dried polish your thumb and pinky finger nail orange, these will stay as is with no nail art on them. Then polish your index, middle, and ring finger nail with a white/ or off white polish. I only applied one coat of the white polish, this will act as your base (will not show at all on the nails) because the whole tropical design is done with acrylic paint and the paint does still need a polish base to stick to.

Tropical Sunset Nail Design

These steps need to be repeated on all three nails.

* Paints colors you will need for the sky: yellow, orange (I mixed red and yellow to make orange), and red.*

Let your base polish colors dry. Then on to the tropical design on our three fingers. On a flat medium size brush near the cuticle paint yellow, then orange right under the yellow, then red under the orange, make sure each color over lapses each other, this is for blending each color.

Then while the paint is still wet take a fan brush and blend the colors together, if the colors seem to blend away take a small amount of that color on the fan brush and paint over that part. I did end up having to to this few times.

*Paints colors you will need for the ocean: dark blue, light blue (just add white to the darker blue), and white.*

Under the sky take a dark blue paint and paint that near the tip of the nail for the ocean. You will need to go over this another time for it to be opaque.

Then once that has dried some, take your light blue paint and go over the darker blue, so the colors blend and then add some white paint to the water as well so that also blends. I tried to make it look like a wave, but I'm not to sure that is look like one because my canvas is so small and that is hard to do on a small scale.

For the land take a small detail brush with black paint on it and make a thin black line near the tip of the nail, on the index nail make a small hill, also the lines do not have to be straight I made my lines more curved.

Also I suggest for this part to use a black polish because the black paint seems to wear away faster then polish because it is on the tips of the nail, where you get the most wear/ chipping.

Tropical Sunset Nail Design

For the sun on the middle finger, first make a oval shape with white paint, that way the yellow sun will show up, and then make a half circle on each side of the other two nails. Then fill that in with yellow paint.

Next on to the one big palm tree on the index nail. Take your thin stripper brush with black paint on it, from the left hand corner make a long curved line for the tree trunk. Then make four curved lines and two straight lines for the outline of the palm tree, then you just add small lines to the branches for the palm leaves.

On the ring finger nail you need to make another part of the land near the sun and kind of on the top part of the water. You just need to make a slanted line, a straight line and fill that in for your land.

For the two palm trees repeat the steps for the larger palm tree that we just made on the index nail. Just make one taller then the other.

For this design you most likely will need to go over some parts a few time to make the colors blend together good and for them to fully show up/ be opaque enough.

Once you have your tropical design ready for your vacation, apply a top coat to help your design to last thought your whole vacation.

Tropical Sunset Nail Design, practice

Also I always practice whatever nail designs I am going to do, and I really liked how this design turned out, so I thought I would share it with all of you. I really think the sky turned out to look very cool and like fire.

Hope all of you enjoyed this tropical sunset nail design and hopefully your next tropical vacation will happen sooner then later, that's what I sure hope for.

See you next time for more bright and fun nails!

Unicorn Kisses- Zoya Sunshine Trios

Hello everyone! Hope everyone is having a nice summer. For summer 2018 Zoya released their summer collection with a lot of pinks and reds, they also released two toppers called the unicorn special effects toppers. This collection has 12 polishes including the two toppers. Not to long ago Zoya came out with two trios with three polishes in each trio, unfortunately I did not get a chance to review these polishes in time because the two trios are not longer available on the website, but I am still reviewing them because you can still get the collection just not the trios.

Zoya Sunshine collection

First we will be taking a look at trio number one, both of these sets are called the Zoya kiss trios. Both sets have two creams and one of the unicorn toppers, I applied the toppers to each of the creams, I did not wear the creams alone.

Nahla and Virginia
Nahla and Virginia
  Nahla over top of Virginia

The first polish is Virginia with Nahla over top. Virginia is described as a coral red cream polish. This polish took two coats to be opaque and it applied very well.

Nahla the unicorn topper is described as golden iridescent with multi colored glitters with both small glitters and bigger hex glitters. This is meant to be a topper, I did apply just Nahla by it's self to my ring finger nail and it took around three coat with some extra near the tips of the nail. When applied over a color I just applied one coat.

Nahla and Minnie
 Nahla over top of Minnie

Minnie is described as a light pink toned coral cream polish. This applied in two coats and also applied very well. I also wore Nahla over Minnie in the photo above.

The next trio that we have is the Zoya Kiss Trio Two.

Saldana and Delia
 Saldana and Delia
 Saldana over top of Delia

Delia is described as muted amethyst or purple/ violet cream polish. This applied well in two coats.

Saldana is the other unicorn topper, that is described as a light blue iridescent, with a hint of pink and blue shimmer, with small glitters and large hex glitters as well. Just like the other unicorn topper this is meant to be a topper, I did apply this to the ring finger by itself as well, it also took three coat and some extra around the tips of the nail as well.

Saldana over top of Missy     Saldana over top of Missy

Lastly we have Missy this is described as a perfect summer pink, that's all it says on the website. Really this is just a light pink polish, this applied well in two coats.

Also above are all 12 polishes from the collection swathed.

 Favorite Trio

In conclusion my favorite trio is trio 1 with Nahla, Virginia, and Minnie. I feel like this one seem more summer like with the colors that where in this set. Trio number two the colors just seem more spring like.

Saldana and Nahla the unicorn toppers

As for the unicorn toppers they where pretty, but not the most unique polishes I have seen, I have seen polishes that where more unicorn like then these, but they where still nice, petty and unicorn like.

Hope all of you enjoyed this review of 6 of the Zoya Sunshine collection polishes from Summer 2018.

See you next time for more nail polsih fun!
