Tropical Hibiscus- Tropical Flower Nail Design

Hello everyone! If you are anything like me you are tired of fall being pushed down your throat in July and just want to enjoy summer. Then this tropical hibiscus flower nail design will be great for you! I don't know why the fall craziness has to start way to early, every year it seems like they start the fall stuff earlier and earlier and then the people that like summer, I feel don't get to truly enjoy it, but maybe because fall and Halloween are the money making holidays/ season so that why the have been staring it way to early lately. I remember when I was little they would actually let season be season, which I miss.

Large Hibiscus on the Thumb Nail-

First we will start off with the large pink hibiscus on the thumb nail. Take a thin striper brush with white paint on it and we will be making make a long heart shape for the each of the petals (this is the best way to describe the shape) the first petal will be the one in the center of the nail near the tip of the nail. The next one is on the left side of the nail, then the bottom near the cuticle, then make a rounded one next to that petal, lastly another heart shape petal next the rounded one and next to the first petal you made. Once you have the outline fill that in with white paint this will help the pink paint to stand out more.

Once that has dried take a red and white paint with more red and mix those two together to make a pink. Fill in the white of all of the petals with that pink paint. Also you may need to re outline all of your petals with white, if you want to. For the center of each petal we will add some red detail by taking a red stripper brush and make a lot of line that are very close together, this will fill up the bottom part of all of your petals.

Lastly we will make the long yellow part of the hibiscus that is in the center (not really sure what that is called.) First take your striper brush with white paint on it and make a long curved line in the center and then at the end make a few very small dots. Once that has dried go over that with yellow paint.

For the final touch we will need to add some green leaves. With your thin detail brush make a leaf near the bottom of your flower on both sides and one leaf near the top of your flower.

Red Hibiscus Flower on the Middle Finger Nail-

For the smaller red hibiscus we will pretty much flower the same steps as the larger pink one we just made on our thumb nail, just red and with a pink outline, and just a little bit of a different shape it kind of had heart shaped petals, but kind of doesn't. Also this flower will only have two leaves on each side of the flower.

Palm Leaf on the Ring Finger Nail-

Lastly we will make a palm leaf on the middle finger nail, take a thin stripper brush with a light green paint on it and make a kind if curved line starting near the cuticle and going down the nail, with that same brush make a leaf at the bottom of that green line, then staring near the cuticle make a small leaf on each side and make then just a little bit bigger as you go down the nail. Once you have finished this you can add a little bit of a darker green to your leaves as well, even though the one I did you can't see the difference very well.

Once your nails are tropical summer ready because here we don't want an early fall, apply a top coat to add and shine and to help your nails to last.

Pineapple & Hibiscus- Tropical Fruit & Flowers Nail Design

Hello everyone! Hope everyone is enjoying the somewhat end of summer. I still say it is summer until I think end of September and as long as it is still warm out. Anyways I still have a couple/ few tropical designs that I would like to make, this week we will be creating a pineapple, hibiscus flower design. In Hawaii I personal think the pineapple is the best it tastes so sweet and yummy and the hibiscus flower is one of the tropical flowers that can be found in Hawaii, that why I decided to make a tropical fruit and flower design.

Pineapple on the Middle Finger Nail-

We will first start off with the pineapple, for the pineapple I first make an outline of the shape with white paint, so that yellow would pop more. First take your liner brush with white paint on it, on the middle of the nail make an oval shape and fill in your oval with white paint. Let that dry, this is where I would go to another nail and start that nail, for this tutorial we will stay on this nail.

Once the outline has dried, fill in your oval shape with yellow paint. For the crown of the pineapple, take a light green paint first and make a few thick lines and then take a darker green and repeat.

For the lines on the pineapple take a thin striper brush with brown paint on it and make a few lines on the pineapple.

Hibiscus Flower on the Ring Finger-

Next we will make a pink hibiscus flower, for the petals we will make five heart shaped petals, starting with the petal on the left side of the nail and then two on the side and then two under those petals, you will need to fill in the petals with pink a few times to be opaque.

This step is optional because it is a little hard, you can take a light pink on striper brush and outline your flower petals, also add a few lines on the petals for some depth.

For the center part of the hibiscus first make the outline with white and then go over it with yellow, first make a long line from the center of the flower and then make a few small dots at the end.

The last step will be to make some green leaves, starting with the light green, then the dark green make a few thick lines from the top of the flower, the side, the part near the tip of the nail, and bottom part of the flower neat the tip of the nail.

Pineapple and Hibiscus on the Thumb Nail-

On the thumb nail we will be making smaller version of the design that we made on the middle and ring finger nail. For the pineapple repeat the same steps just make the pineapple more off to the side of the thumb.

For the hibiscus, we will make a red version of the flower and much smaller. Once again follow the steps that we did for the larger pink flower and make their flower slightly over lapping the pineapple on the lower left hand corner near the cuticle.

Once your nails are good enough to eat, or not apply a top coat to seal in your nails and to help them to last.

Hope all of you enjoyed this tropical fruit and flower nail design!

As always lately here is the practice version.

Tropical Fun in the Sun- One Stroke Flower

Hello everyone! For today we will be getting back into doing nail art, it had been a few weeks since I had done a post and last week I did a review for all of you. Do to my schedule, I do have some time to get back to doing the M.M.M blog, but for the step-by- step tutorials of nail designs, I will be changing up the post to save some time. I hope all of you still enjoy these nail art post.

For today we will be creating a one stroke/ double loaded brush tropical flower, as an accent nail on our left hand, and then another more simple flower on the right accent finger nail.

The polishes and tools that we will be using to creating this great for summer/ tropical vacation flower design:

Base coat & Top coat- CND Stickey Base Coat and Revlon Extra Life No Chip top coat.

Nail polishes- Zoya- Oceane and Cover Girl- Glosstinis Blue Hawaiian.

Acrylic paint- Red, white, yellow, green, and black.

Nail art brushes- a small to medium flat brush, thin linear brush, and a detail brush.

For now I will not be doing step by step tutorials of the nail art that we will be creating, but I will still explain how each design is made, along with all the polishes, paints and tools used for each design.

One Stroke Tropical Flower Design
More of a close up of the Hibiscus flower.

First we will start off with the one stroke or the double loaded brush flower. You may wonder why it is called this, well in order to create this flower you need to take to colors on a flat brush, one side a light pink and the other yellow.

Then on a flat surface, just swipe the brush to kind of pre-blend the colors together.

After that starting near the side of the nail, take your brush a kind of rotate the brush on the side to make a petal, do this two or three more times to make more petals. The petals should go in a circular shape. You also may need to go over the petals two more time to make them opaque enough.

Once you have the petals looking okay, you take a thin nail art brush with black paint and outline the flower, this step really helps the flower to look more like a flower.

Then you can add your leaves on the sides with two different shades of green, and then just adding in your small details for the flower, like the black lines in the center and the sides, and the white part of the flower.

For creating this flower I found that outlining it was the key to helping it look more like a hibiscus flower.

Another example of the Hibiscus flower, this was the practice flower that I did.

Close up of the tropical flower on the right hand.

Next we have another tropical flower that I did on my right hand using my non dominate hand (my left hand). This is another more simple option for creating a tropical flower.

This flower you take a small nail art brush with a light pink paint, and just swipe the brush up ward to make a more pointed petal. You can do this four times to make four petals, also because this is on the side of the nail, you create the petals in a circular shape.

Then with a slightly darker pink outline the petals to make the flower pop or look more like a flower.

For the smaller details just paint a yellow circle in the center and with that same pink you used to outline the flower, draw some lines going out from that circle, then add some yellow lines as well.

After that just add some green leaves with two shades of green and then you have your flower.

If you would like you can add some more flowers or petals on the sides, if you feel like this nail needed something extra.

Hope all of you like the way I explained this nail art design even if it was not step by step.

As always hope all of you liked this tropical nail art design of the hibiscus flower and a simple tropical flower.
