Hello everyone! Today we will be creating a super simple design using the new Multichrome polishes from the Holo Taco collection. A few weeks a ago I did a review of the Holo-Taco-Multichrome-Collection so if you didn't check that out, you can take a look at that as well. This design we will be first adding a matte top coat to the nails and then making water like drops on the nail. Even though this design is very simple I did get the idea from Simply herself Cristine, she did this design first on her channel and I want to give her credit. She only used one polish form this collection Missed shift, I wanted to change it up a little and used all of the polishes.
Here are the polish and nail art tools used to create this simple design.
Base and top coat- CND Stickey Base Coat, Revlon Extra Life No Chip top coat, and - NYC- Matte Me Crazy topcoat (this matte topcoat brand no longer exist, but this was the only matte topcoat that I have.)
Polishes- Holo Taco Multichrome collection- Cats' Evasion, Purple with Envy, Missed Shift, Blue Ain't Slick, and Chameleon Coat.
Nail art tools- large and small dotting tool.
Multichrome Water Drops Nail Design
Apply a base coat, let that dry.
Polish-
You can always just apply one polish, I wanted to use the whole collection.
Thumb- Cats' Evasion
Index- Purple with Envy
Middle- Missed Shift
Ring- Blue Ain't Slick
Pinky- Chameleon Coat
Let that dry, then apply a clear glossy top coat, this helps your polish to last longer even though you will be add a matte topcoat.
Then apply a matte topcoat, let that dry as well.
In the photos that I took my nails do still look shinny, but I did use a matte topcoat, I think it might have been the light that I use to take my photos.
Take that same clear glossy topcoat that you used before the matte topcoat, and on a plastic bag or nail mate pour a small amount out, take your large dotting tool and dip it into the clear polish, then dot it on to the nails making sure to leave some space for some smaller dots.
Then repeat this same step for the smaller dots.
Then you are all done! No need to do anything else.
I think this design that Cristine did was inspired by the box, she also did this design with another polish before she created Holo Taco a few years ago, then she did the design agian with her polish.
Hope all of you enjoyed this simple water drops nail design.
See you next time for more nail fun!
Looks amazing, I like the water drops :-D
