Hello everyone! Hope everyone is having a nice fall so far. Today on the blog we will be creating one more tropical design, with a fall look to it with three fall like colors to give a fall in paradise look to the nails. I think this is the best way to spend your fall or any season if you can, in paradise, if you can't then this design is perfect for you if you are like me and dream of a tropical vacation year round/ all the time.
Here are the polishes and nail art tools used to create this fall in paradise nail look:
Base and top coat- CND Stickey Base Coat and CND Super Shiney Top Coat.
Polishes- Holo Taco- Orange Drink- Rainbow Collection, OPI Lisbon- Now Museum Now You Don't, Zoya- Ziv, and Sally Hansen- Hard as Nails- Black Heart.
Acrylic paint- Black
Nail art brushes- Thin detail and stripper brushes.
Other- Makeup sponge for gradients, Holo Taco liquid latex for easy clean up around the nails, a small cup of water to clean off your nail art brushes.
Apply a base coat to clean dry nails, then let that dry.
Polish-
Index and pinky nails- a brick red (OPI- Now Museum Now You Don't)
Thumb, middle and ring finger nails- Orange holographic, this is your base color for the gradient (Holo Taco- Orange Drink.)
Let that dry.
Sunset Gradient-
To start off and to make things easy to clean up, if you have a liquid latex apply that around the finger. (I used Holo Taco's)
For the sunset gradient we will be creating a gold, orange and red gradient for our fall inspired sunset. First take a makeup sponge and first polish a gold polish (Zoya- Ziv), then an orange holo the same color as your base polish color (Holo Taco- Orange Drink), and then a brick red, the same polish you used on the index and pinky nail (OPI- Now Museum Now You Don't). It is ok if the polishes overlap on the sponge, it is actually better if they do overlap, that way the gradient will blend better.
Then dab the sponge on the thumb, middle, and ring finger nails, you will need to do this a few time to be opaque, I did this three times.
Once your gradient is just right peel off your liquid latex, if you used one.
Lastly apply a top coat this helps the gradient to blend better. Let that dry.
