Holo Taco Birthstone Collection Review

Hello everyone! Today on the blog I will give you my final thoughts on the Holo Taco Birthstone collection. I did 6 post on this collection reviewing 2 polishes at a time and now I have wore the whole collection on my nails. Unfortunately as soon as this collection was released it sold out but  Cristine/ Holo Taco had said on her YouTube channel that she does plain on rereleasing some of the popular polishes, I am unsure about the whole collection. As with any of the Holo Taco Collection I always suggest purchasing them right away if you want them, do not wait.

Holo Taco Birthstone Collection Review

As stated above and in other post this collection has 12 polishes one for each month, a polish for each birthstone. Each polish has a different finish to it, which I do like that there was a lot of different finishes and not all the same.

I do feel like Holo Taco did a good job as always (well most of the time) with this collection. This collection did represent all 12 birthstones pretty well.

As for formula, for the most part they had pretty good formula. I have notice that some times their polishes can be a little on the thick side. Holo Taco I feel does linear holo polish the best, like for example the rainbow collection was all linear holo and applied well in 1 to 2 coats and was very smooth.

As for my favorites of the collection I would say first is

Holo Taco- Ride or Dimond

Holo Taco- Ride or Dimond

April's Birthstone
Ride or Dimond, this polish is so pretty, it applied well and look like diamonds on the nails, with all of the holo glitter in this polish it shines bright in the sun.

My second favorite polish would be

Holo Taco- Peridon't Bother Me

Holo Taco- Peridon't Bother Me

August Birthstone Peridon't Bother Me, this is my birthstone so I may be a little biased. I actually don't really care for green polishes, but this one I can make an exception. When I took the photo's above this polish looks like it is glowing under the photography light and in bright sun light. This polish did have a good formula too.

My Third favorite would be

Holo Taco- Ruby, Madly, Deeply

Holo Taco- Ruby, Madly, Deeply

July's Birthstone Ruby, Madly, Deeply this polish is another one that is so beautiful and the holo glitter in it makes it look so shinny. I love wearing red polishes on my nails and I always say that any one can wear/ pull off a red polish on their nails. This one also had a good formula.

Two runner ups would be

Holo Taco- Crystal Mommy

Holo Taco- Crystal Mommy

February's Birthstone Crystal Mommy, I also like purple and once again with the holo glitter this it just made this polish look so pretty.

Holo Taco- happily ever aqua

Holo Taco- happily ever aqua

March Birthstone Happily Ever Aqua this is my hubby's birthstone, I also really like blues as well and this on is also very beautiful and had a very good formula.

In conclusion I really did enjoy this collection and if/when it goes back in stock I do recommend buying this collection. I was nice to have so many finishes in polish to choose from.

Hope all of you enjoyed this review and if you have not checked out my individual (2 polishes at a time) reviews of this collection don't forget to check them out as well. 😊

Here is a link to purchase all 12 polishes, hopefully it will be back in stock soon.

Holo Taco Birthstone Collection- November and December

Hello everyone! Today on the blog we have the last two polishes from the Holo Taco Birthstone collection, November and December. For this collection there was 12 polishes and I reviewed 2 at a time, which did take a while, but as stated in my first post of this collection I like to wear enjoy my polishes, now we have finally completed this collection. 😓😁

Holo Taco- Topaz Tears

November' s polish is Topaz Tears this is described as a brown jelly base, with green/ gold iridescent flakes, and bronzed shimmer and scatted holo glitter.

This polish applied very good in two coats. This polish had one of the best formula of this collection, this polish really did surprise me with the formula, and this polish was very unique.

This polish did look a little bit different than the birthstone, but I do remember Cristine said she wanted to make this polish look unique to the birthstone. I actually like that she went with this, I am usually not a brown polish girl but this polish is so unique that I do like it.

Holo Taco- Tanzanite Away

Lastly we have December Tanzanite Away this is described as royal indigo jelly base polish, with red magenta micro shimmer, scattered holo and blue reflective glitter.

This polish formula was not that great, it was sheer on the first two coats, and didn't have a smooth texture due to the reflective glitter, this does tend to make a polish look thick and lumpy. Before you apply a topcoat this polish does look dull, yes even for a glitter polish. Also I always wait a long time for my nails to dry 10 mins after I polish, then I apply a top coat then wait 30 mins for the full manicure to dry. This polish still felt tacky after the 30 mins, plus I did have to apply a second top coat due to it not being smooth and still looking dull. Lucky this polish did not dent because of it feeling still tacky, that feeling did eventually go away.

This polish did represent the December birthstone well, this polish is pretty if only the formula was a little bitter, this polish looks best in sunlight/ bright light.

Hope all of you enjoyed this review of the Holo Taco Birthstone Collection. Stay tuned for my final thoughts on the collection.
