Hello everyone! Today on the blog we will be reviewing the two polishes from Holo Taco, the Wicked Sister Duo. This polish did come out in early October, even though it came out a little while ago I still wanted to review it. These polishes are limited edition for Cristine's Birthday, along with doing a collaboration with her sister Jen.
As of doing this post one of the polishes Favourite Sister is available, but Double Dare is currently not. I do know that Cristine does re-release some of her limited edition polishes, so maybe at a later date Double Dare well be available again.
Here is the Limited Edition Boxes
Let's take closer look at these two polishes.
First we have Jen's Polish Favourite Sister, this is a metallic foil polish (that is part of their frosted metals line, and a seasonal polish) that is in a red base, it has silver metallic foil flakes, along with scatter holo glitter in it.
This applied well in two coats, for me it is a little hard to remove so I suggest being careful when polishing.
This polish as stated above is still available on the Holo Taco website www.holotaco.com/products/favourite-siste $14 USD as of this post it is on sale for $12USD
Lastly we have Cristine's Polish Double Dare, this a mutichrome polish that base is black and can shift from black, to brown and red, depending on the light. This polish has very small scatter holo glitter and red glitter in it as well, that red glitter gives that red shift to it depending on the light.
This also applied well in two coats. This polish is very unique and a little hard to describe.
Here is Wicked Sister close to the light, where you can really see the brown and red shift. The further away you are from the light the more black the polish will look.
As stated above this polish is no longer available on the website.I wore this over two different bases black and blue. Above is the polish over black, as you can see it shift more toward pink, which gives it a purple look and on the side of the nails the yellow shift in person gives it a green look to the nails.
Here is Polar Princess over a blue polish, which makes the polish look purple and once again the yellow gives a greenish or gold look to the the nails as well.
