Electric- Holo Taco Nail Design

Hello everyone! Today we will be creating a design based/ inspired by the Holo Taco Electric collection box. This design is very simple, all this design has to it is some zig zags in three colors from the Electric collection. When I got this collection box, I thought it would be cool to create the design that is on the box on my nails and to share it with all of you. 

Here are the polishes and nail art tools used to create this very simple design:

Base and top coat-CND Stickey Base Coat and  Revlon Extra Life No Chip top coat.

Polishes- Electric Holo collection 4 of the 5 polishes; Holo Taco- Electrostatic, Holo Taco- Full Charge, Holo Taco- Hot - Wire Pink, and Holo Taco- Hydropower. 

Nail art brush- thin stripper brush. 

Apply a base coat, let that dry.

Polish all of your nails with a black holo polish (Electrostatic)

Let that dry.

Take a thin stripper brush first with green Full Charge holo polish, Starting near the tip of your nails make a zig- zag line/ triangles that are big and small in size. For this design to look like the box, you need to make sure the triangle shapes are big and small. 

Then repeat this step two more time with pink Hot - Wire Pink near the middle of the nail.

Then blue Hydropower, near the cuticle. 

Repeat this step on all five nails, or if you would like, have most of your nails polishes with the black holo polish and the ring finger nail with the electric design. 

Once your nails are electrifying, apply a top coat to seal in your design and to help it to last.

Holo Taco Electric Holo Collection

Hello everyone! Today we will be taking a look at the latest collection from Holo Taco, the Electric Holo Collection. This collection has five bright linear holographic nail polishes, that when it first came out, like all of the collections has a special collection box, that always sells out fast.

Here is the limited edition collection box that every Holo Taco Collection comes in. As stated above these boxes always sell out very fast, so it is best to buy theses collections fast/ when they first come out, if you want the collection boxes.

Let's take a closer look at each polish. 

All of these polishes have the same finish, a linear holographic finish with a different color base.

 

First we have Circuit Breaker, a bright sliver linear holo. 

This polish was opaque in two coats, I thought it was going to take three, but I was kind of surprised that it covered in two, but the Holo Taco polishes always have really good formula, so really it was not much of a surprised. 

Second we have Hydropower, a vibrant blue aqua linear holo.

This polish also cover well in two coats. 

Third we have Full Charge, a bright lime green linear holo polish. 

This also covered well in two coats. 

Fourth we have Hot- Wire Pink, a bright vibrant pink linear holo polish. 

Also covered well in two coats.

Lastly we have Electrostatic, a black linear holo with a purple undertone, to help to make this polish look more black than grey. 

For this polish in one of Cristine's Simply Nailogical video's, she had said that she want to create a black holo that was actually black and not grey, like a lot of black holo polishes do still have a grey look to them even though they are suppose to be black. So she added a little bit of purple to the polish to look darker. 

This polish also covered well in two coats. When it comes to black creme polish I like them to cover in one coat, but I think due to this polish being a holo you would need at least a two coater that way you can see the holo.

In conclusion I of course really like and enjoyed these polishes. The linear holo polishes from Holo Taco are one of my favorite formulas. I would still say the Rainbow Holo collection is my most favorite and this collection would be a second favorite. 

Also as you may have guessed, Hydropower I my most favorite of this collection. Blue is my favorite color and this polish is just so pretty and it reminds me of ocean water, which would make a great polish to use for a tropical design. 😉
