Target Time- Target Nail Design

Hello everyone! Today we will be create a fun nail design based on my favorite store and many other peoples favorite store as well, that store is Target. Ever since I was little Target has been my favorite store and still to this day is my favorite, I go to this store way to much. So I thought it would be cool took make a Target inspired nail design, with the adorable Target dog mascot (the cartoon dog that you can see as soon as you go in their dollar area, is so cute!)

Here are the polishes and nail art tools used for this Target nail design:

Base and Top coat- CND Stickey Base Coat and Revlon Extra Life No Chip top coat.

Polishes- Zoya- Renee- Redbook trio, Finger paints- Tiffany imposter, and  China glaze- white on white.

Acrylic paint- white, black, red, and red and white to make pink.

Nail art brushes- small detail brush and small liner brush.

Small cup or class jar with water in it to clean off nail art brushes.

Other- hole punch stickers for bullseye design.

Let's go to Target with this cute Target inspired nail design!

Start off with a thin layer of base coat to protect your nail and to help your nail design to last.

Let your base coat dry, I always like to let my base coat dry when I do my own nails, when I am doing other people's nails I just go right in with with the polish.

Once that has dried polish your pinky and middle finger nail red, your ring and thumb nail with a light sky blue and then your index nail white. I wanted to add a light blue to this design because I didn't want to just use red and white (I do not like to polish the whole nail white, I just don't like the way white nails look) so I add the light blue for some contrast, and it did some what look patriotic because of the red, white and blue color scheme.

Let your base colored polishes dry, then on to our Target design. We will first start off with the bullseye the Target logo on the index nail. Take a hole punch sticker and place that on the nail, this helped me to get the bullseye to look better. Then with red paint fill in the center dot and then the outer bigger circle go over the top and bottom line. Then right away take off the sticker, I ended up going over the larger circle a little bit to make the two curved lines a little thicker.

For the middle and pinky finger nails we will just be leaving those two nails red, with no design on them.

Now on to the harder part the words I heart/ love Target. Painting words on the nail is hard to do I actually don't really care to do words, but I do them anyways just for a challenge I guess.

For painting letters/ words on the nails make sure to lay your hand flat on a table and carefully paint I and then a heart shape and then the word Target. I always use acrylic paint for words, well all nail art that I create, it makes it so much easier for words and just in case you mess up you can wipe it and try again.

Last but not lest is is the cute Target dog mascot, I try to have him look like the cute cartoon version of the puppy. With a thin detail brush with white paint on it make a egg shape for his head with two triangle shapes at the top for his ears. Then fill that in with the white paint you will have to go over this a few time to make it fully opaque. I always like to have my paints to start of sheer and then build up the color for all of my designs.

For the ears and mouth I didn't have a pink paint so I mixed white and red to make a light pink. For the pink part of the ears, just make two small triangle where the ears are.

For the eyes just make to large black circles, then on one of the eyes make a red thin circle around one of the black circles for the red bullseye.

For his nose make a small oval under his eyes. Then for his mouth make a small pink line going down from his nose and then a thick curved line for smile. Now your Target pup is all done.

Once you have your Target nail design the way you like, apply a top coat to seal in your design and to help your nail design to last for your next Target trip. If you are anything like me you go to Target every week or ever other week, so this design will only last one Target trip.

Hope all of you enjoyed this Target nail design as much as you enjoy the store itself!

See you next time for more nail fun!

Showers Bring Sunflowers- Sunflower Nail Design

Hello everyone! Today we will be celebrating the warm/ nice weather that finally decided to stick around. We will be creating a sunflower nail design on our nails, which will be great for the spring or summer time.

Sunflower Nail Design

Here are the nail polishes and nail art tools for this sunflower nail design.

Base and Top coat- CND Stickey Base Coat and Revlon Extra Life No Chip top coat. (same as always)

Nail polishes- NYC- Water street blue ( I don't think you can find this in the stores anymore, but you can always find this color in another brand), Sally Hansen- Hard as Nails - No hard feelings, and Sinful Colors- Frenzy.
.
Acrylic paint- white, yellow, blue, and red (yellow, blue, and red to make a brown colored paint)

Nail art brushes- two thin detailed brushes.

Other- a small jar or cup to put water in, to clean off your nail art brushes.

Let's start this Sunflower nail design!

Sunflower Nail DesignSunflower Nail Design

As all ways start off with a thin layer of base coat to protect your natural nails and to help your polish to last.

Then let that dry, then once that has dried polish your thumb, middle, and pinky nail with a ocean or water colored blue (I used NYC- Water street blue, I am not sure if NYC still makes nail polish, but you can always find this color in another brand.) On your index and ring finger nail polish those nails with a light purple (I used Sally Hansen- Hard as Nails - No hard feelings.) Also on the pinky nail I just polished some blue and purple glitter over the blue polish.

Let your base colors dry and then we will start to make our sunflowers. On all of the nails I made each sunflower a little bit different. On the thumb nail I made two half flowers, the index a half flower near the cuticle, the middle finger nail a whole flower, then a half flower near the tip of the nail and then on the ring finger nail I made a large half flower.

For all of the sunflowers you first start off with the center part of the flower. I mixed blue, yellow, and red to make a brown colored paint because I don't have a brown paint. For the half flower just make half a circle and fill that in and then make some yellow dots in the middle for the seeds.

For the petals I used two yellows, one yellow I just added some white paint to it to change it up some. To make the petals you just make triangle shapes, and switch between the two yellows for each petal.

Once you have your sunflowers the way you like apply a top coat to seal in your design and to help your design to last all spring and summer, or at lest a few days or a week.

A lot of time on my right hand I like to keep that design more simple. On my right hand I did the sunflower design on just my thumb and ringer finger and applied the blue and purple glitter on my index, middle, and pinky nails.

Hope all of you enjoyed this sunflower nail design!

Million Dollar Holo- Fun Lacquer Polishes

Hello everyone! Today we will once again be going over the two Fun Lacquer polishes, Million Dollar Dream and How Deep is Your Holo, that I bought a while ago that where very glittery and I was just having a hard time trying to get them to look good and not so thick on the nails. Well today I gave them another try and this time I felt like it turned out much better.

Fun Lacquer- How Deep is Your Holo?
When I first ordered these polishes from Live Love Polish I applied these like it says on the website along with what YouTuber Simply Nailogical. They said to first polish on a thin layer, then take a makeup sponged and sponge on the secound layer and then polish on another thin layer, then finally apply a top coat. (as show on the left in the photo above.)

I did this and as you can see from the photo above it looks and felt thick. This may have also been a user error on my part. I cut a small piece of sponge and dabbed it that way, when maybe it would have go on better if I had used the full sponge.

So this time around I first applied two coats of a base colored polish, Zoya's Estelle that matched the Fun Lacquer polish, then I just polished two coats of How Deep is Your Holo and I feel like it turned out much better, it looked and felt smoother.

Fun Lacquer- Million Dollar Dream
I also gave Fun Lacquer Million Dollar Dream another try again as well, this one was my third time try this polish out. This polish also looks so amazing, but was a pain in the butt try to take a photo of.

Just like How Deep is your Holo I applied it the same way. I applied one coat of a gold base polish Revlon's Gold Coin and then polished on two coats of Million Dollar Dream. Once again I felt like the looked much better, it was not thick, it looked and felt smooth.
