Spiderman Nail Design

Hello everyone! Today on the blog we will be create a nerdy nail design, Spiderman. Not to long ago their was a new Spiderman movie that came out in December, Spiderman No Way Home. I am not really a Spiderman fan, but I thought it would be something different to create on the nails and I guess you could say this design is for my hubby, he is a big Spiderman fan and yes I did go see the movie with him when it came out. Also I know I am a little late for this design, I figured why not still do a Spiderman design, just to make something a little bit different on the nails.

Here are the polishes and nail art tools used to create this Spiderman nail design:

Base and top coat- - CND Stickey Base Coat and CND Super Shiney Top Coat. (yes I am using another top coat, sadly Revlon discontinued my favorite topcoat😭, I will probably be doing a post about this soon.)

Polishes- Zoya- Renee, Jen, Holo Taco- Red Licorice, and Linear Holo Taco.

Acrylic paint- Black and white.

Nail art brushes- Thin detail and stripper brush.

Other- Water to clean off your nail art brushes.

Apply a base to clean dry nails.

Let that dry.

Polish-

Index and pinky nail- polish a shimmery dark blue (Zoya Jen), on the pinky nail also apply a linear holo polish on top (Holo Taco- Linear Holo Taco)

Middle finger nail- a red holographic polish (Holo Taco- Red Licorice)

Ring finger nail- a red polish (Zoya- Renee)

Thumb- red and blue shimmery polish. This we have to polish a little bit weird for Spiderman's face (so we will wait on that)

Let that dry.

Spiderman's Face on the Thumb Nail:

First we will create Spiderman on the thumb nail. First we need to create the shape. Take a red creme polish and make a oval shape near the tip of the nail. Then with a blue shimmer polish, fill in the part of the nail that is clear/ no polish as of yet with that. You will need to polish this part a little bit weird, I had to polish it from side to sides long with going up the sides of the nail.

You can do this step when you polish all of your nails.

Then let that dry.

Now on to Spiderman's features. First we will make his eyes. Take your thin detail brush with white paint on it and make a half circle shape for both of his eyes and fill that in with the white paint.

Now for the hard part making the web on his face. Take your thin stripper brush, with black paint on it, starting on the bottom part of his face make a triangle shape, then make two lines on the right side, then three on the left side. Then in each section make one or two curved lines in each section.

For the top part of his face make five vertical lines going down his face. Then once again make one to two curved lines going the other way in each section.

For the final touch you will also need to outline Spiderman's eyes with black paint.

Spider web on the index nail:

Now onto the index nail, making Spiderman's web. Take your thin stripper brush with white paint on it and starting from the left hand corner of the cuticle make three to four lines, then in each section make a few curved lines. The section near the right hand corner near the cuticle I actually wish I didn't put their, I think it would have looked better with out that part.

Spiderman's Spider design on the ring finger nail:

Lastly we will be create the spider, this one was kind of hard too. I did had a little trouble myself, honestly with the whole design, but I am not perfect at doing nails, although some people may think I am I still have troubles sometimes too.

Anyways for your spider take a thin detail brush, with black paint on it, make a circle near the tip of the nail, then make a diamond shape for the body, fill in both areas with black.

On the top of head make two small curved lines for the antenna.

Then onto the legs, on the sides of the head make two short lines on each side, from that line make another longer line that is bent, then lastly a very small line from that longer line.

For the legs on his body, make two short lines on both sides and then make a line that is going down from that line.

Once you have your Spiderman design the way you like apply a top coat to seal in your design and to help it to last.

Hope all of you liked this nerdy nail design, of Spiderman!

See you next time for more nail fun!

LA Colors Diamond Crush Nail Polish Review

Hello everyone! Today on the blog we will be taking a look a two polishes from the LA Colors Diamond Crush collection,(I believe came out around spring of 2021). I went into Five Below in mid January and stumbled across this collection, so I decided to give at least two of the polishes to give them a try. I had heard for a YouTuber that I watch that the LA Colors polishes are really good for a affordable brand.

Let's take a look at these two polishes, my favorite colors are blue and purple, so of course I pick up those two colors to give a try. Both of these polishes are suppose to be "Diamond" polishes, which is just glitter, so have a diamond look to them with glitter, their is no actual diamonds in these polishes.

First we will take a look at the blue polish, Cloud 9. This a light blue polish with a lot of silver/ light blue glitter in it. I think that these polishes are just silver glitter in a colored base like blue, that is just what I think.

This polish took three coat to be fully opaque. This glitter polish actually doesn't feel textured at all, I thought you could feel the glitter on the nails, but it for the most part it feels smooth, with top coat of course.

Lastly we will take a look at the purple polish, Grape Pop. This is a light purple polish that has a lot of sliver/ purple glitter in it. Once again
I think that these polishes are just silver glitter in a colored base like purple.

This polish also applied well in two coats and didn't feel textured.

These polishes where in kind of a small bottle 0.44FL. OZ. (13mL), but for the price of $3.00 each that is not bad at all. Also these polishes did kind of have a big flat, wide brush, which didn't make it hard to polish, it was just fine for me.

Over all I did really like these polishes, they applied well and look pretty. I think they would look even better with a Holo topcoat to make them look even more shinny, which I will try in the near future.

As for wear I always do my nails on a Sunday and today is Tuesday, so far they have been wearing well, but I have only been wearing them for a few day and I will be home for most of the week. I am starting a new job soon so I have this week and a few day next week off as well. Anyways pretty much all polish wear well on me regardless of, if I am at work or not.

In conclusion I would recommend these polishes they are really good polishes for such an affordable price, for some one who has a lot of polishes these are a great addition to my ever growing collection.

As stated above I found these at my local Five Below for $3.00 each. For some reason when I did a google search these polishes where not showing up some other colors where, so I am not sure what is going on. But you can find them on LA Colors website, hbbeautybar website, and Big Lot.

Hope all of you enjoyed this mini review of the two polishes from the Diamond Crush collection.

See you next time for more nail fun!
