Disney World 50th Anniversary Nail Design

Hello everyone! On October 1, 2021 Disney World in Florida will be celebrating their 50th anniversary! This anniversary will be an 18 month long event at Disney World with a lot of different event, merchandiser and more. As someone that is a big Disney fan this is very exciting and maybe even next year we will be going to Disney World because my hubbies cousin will be graduating college in Florida. As a way to celebrate we will be creating a Disney 50th anniversary nail design.

Disney World 50th Anniversary Nail Design

Here are the polishes and nail art tools used to create this Disney 50th nail design:

Base and top coat- CND Stickey Base Coat and - Revlon Extra Life No Chip top coat

Polish- Zoya Jen, Zoya Saint, Holo Taco- Circuit Breaker- Electric Holo Collection, and Holo Taco- Gold Flakie- Anniversary.

Acrylic paint- black and white.

Nail art brushes- thin stripper and detail brush.

Cup of water and acetone to clean off your nail art brushes.

Apply a base coat to clean nails. Let your base coat dry.

Polish-

Thumb, index, middle, and pinky finger nails- A royal blue (Zoya Jen)

Ring finger nail- a periwinkle (Zoya Saint)

Let that dry.

50 on the index and middle finger nail:

First we will start off with the outline of the numbers on the index and middle finger nail. On your index nail make a 5 with white paint, that has a slightly longer tail to it.

On your middle finger nail make a 0 with white paint. Let that dry.

The take a silver holographic polish on a thin stripper brush and go over your white outline, or you can go right in with the silver holo polish, but I felt better doing an outline first just in case I messed up.

*As with most of my nail design I jump around from nail to nail as I let each part dry.*

Mickey Mouse shape on the ring finger nail:

Next we will make a Mickey Mouse shape on the right hand corner, on the tip of the nail. With a thin detail brush with black paint on it make a large circle near the tip of the nail for Mickey's head, then two small circles on each side of the bigger circle for Mickey's ears.

Also I did end up putting black polish on Mickey's head because it started to rub off a little.

Disney World Cinderella's Castle on the thumb nail:

Lastly for the nail art, before we add the gold glitter, is the hard part, the castle. First we will make an outline with white paint, the design of the castle is really a light of long and short rectangles and some triangles.

Take a thin stripper brush with white paint on it, make a long line near the cuticle. Then starting with the center, make a long rectangle and another one beside that one, they should be the same height.

Then make two small/ shorter rectangles beside/ the other side the larger ones, then beside that one make another small rectangles with a slant at the top, then lastly make one more rectangle at the very side of the nail, also make that side rounded.

Now on each rectangle make a triangle for the roof. There is six triangles that you should make.

Also on the middle tower you can make a small flag as well.

Now that we have the outline we will fill in the castle with a sliver holographic polish. Once you have your castle filled in you may need to go over some of the white outline again.

Final Touch of gold glitter:

On your pinky nail, polish some gold glitter over the royal blue, the Holo Taco gold glitter flake polish works very well for this design, or you can use a sparse gold glitter too.

On the thumb nail polish a little gold glitter near the top of the castle near the tip of the nail.

Then on the index and middle, near the top of the 5 and 0 add some gold glitter.

Once your Disney 50th anniversary nails are park ready apply a top coat to seal in your design and to help it to last through your celebration.

On my right hand I did a more subtle 50th anniversary design using the royal blue and gold colors, by doing a gold glitter gradient and my ring finger nail with the gold over the royal blue.

Also you can just had a Mickey Mouse shape on your ring finger as well and have the gold glitter gradient on the other nails.

Hope all of you enjoyed this Disney 50th anniversary nail design, if you are anything like me you love Disney and would really enjoy this design. Also I love the colors they used for the 50th the blues, gold, and holographic silver is awesome!

See you next time for more nail fun!

Endless Summer- Tropical Nail Design

Hello everyone! As summer comes to a close, we have one more tropical design for the summer. It might be the end of summer, but it is never too late to create a tropical nail design to make it an endless summer, after all summer is my favorite season and always goes way too fast.

Tropical Nail Design

Here are the polishes and nail art tools used to create this summer, tropical nail design:

Base and top coat- CND Stickey Base Coat, Revlon Extra Life No Chip top coat, and OPI- Matte Topcoat.

Polishes- Pretty& Polished- Sea Spray, Finger paints- Tiffany imposter, and Holo Taco- Blue Flakie- Anniversary.

Acrylic paint- blue, green, yellow, white, brown, and light beige.

Nail art tools- thin detail and stripper brush, and a flat brush.

Tropical Nail Design

Apply a base coat. Let that dry.

Polish-

Thumb, index, and pinky finger nail- a blue holographic polish. (Pretty& Polished- Sea Spray)

Middle and ring finger nail- a light blue (Finger paints- Tiffany imposter)

On the thumb, index and pinky nail, I also applied a holographic glitter top, just as an added touch. (Holo Taco- Blue Flakie- Anniversary)

Also on the nails that we will be doing the nail art on, the middle and ring finger nail, we will apply a matte topcoat to help the paint to blend together.

* Paints that need to be mixed or just needed, for the ocean and palm tree:

Dark green, light green (green and yellow), lighter green (white and green), dark blue, light blue (dark blue and white).

Tropical Nail Design

On both nails we will make the ocean water. First leave a little bit of the blue polish showing for the sky.

Then make a dark blue line under the sky, then we will make a gradient for the water starting with light blue, a light green (the green with white in it.) and the light beige for the sand.

For the water you will need to go over this a few time and the third pass over you can start to blend the colors together, this also includes a little bit of the darker blue.

For the blending part I found that using a dry, clean flat brush to blend the colors to work out very well.

Tropical Nail Design

For the water once it has dried, take a detail brush with white paint on it and make a line from the water to the sand that looks like a small wave, then your flat brush and blend the small wave to give it a wave look. Do this again two times in the water as well and a little bit in the sky for the clouds. Hopefully that make sense. 😉

Now on to the sand, take a brown paint, and paint a small amount over the light beige, then add a little more light beige and blend the two tougher, to give a sand look.

Tropical Nail Design

Lastly we need to make a palm tree on the middle finger nail, on the left hand side of the nail. Their is six palm leaves that we need to make, also the palm leaves are created with a light green and then a few dark green lines.

Tropical Nail Design

Once you have your tropical nail design just right apply a top coat to all of the nails. Then to change things up a little take a matte top coat and go over just the sand and sky, leaving the water and palm tree glossy.

Here is the practice nail design that I created.

Hope all of you enjoyed this tropical nail design.

See you next time for more nail fun!

Need A Vacation- Tropical Nail Design

Hello everyone! Hope everyone is having a good summer/ almost the end of summer, well according to the calendar. I can't believe how fast summer went now that it is the first day of September. Anyways we have another tropical nail design that we will be creating, I created this design some time ago and just didn't get a chance to type up a post. I do plain on creating one more tropical nail design even though it is now September, it most likely will still feel like summer for some time now, plus if you are feeling anyway like me then a tropical or any vacation is needed.

Tropical Nail Design

Here are the polishes and nail art tools used to create this nail design:

Base and top coat-- CND Stickey Base Coat, Revlon Extra Life No Chip top coat, and - OPI- Matte Topcoat.

Polishes-  Holo Taco- Orange Drink- Rainbow Collection, Holo Taco- Hot - Wire Pink- Electric Holo Collection, and Sally Hansen- Hard as Nails- Hard to get.

Acrylic Paint- Bright pink, black, red, blue, yellow, and white.

Nail art tools- thin detail and stripper brush, and a medium flat brush.

Other- makeup sponge for gradients, and water to clean off your nail art brushes.

Tropical Nail Design

Apply a base coat, then let that dry.

Polish-

Thumb, index, and pinky- an orange holographic polish, Holo Taco- Orange Drink.

Middle and ring finger nail- a white polish for your base polish. (you will not be seeing any of this polish once our design is done.) Also this design I applied a matte topcoat over the white polish to help the paint to blend better and it did work out much better.

Let that dry.

Tropical Nail Design

Tropical Nail Design

For this design it is very similar to the last design, and once again I will keep the explanation simple.

On both nails we will be making a gradient for the sky, starting near the cuticle with a bright pink paint, then an orange (I mixed yellow and red to make my orange) and then yellow, and for the water a light blue. You will need to go over this a few times, I went over it three times.

On your third pass over of the paint start to kind of blend the bright pink and orange and then the yellow, to make a gradient.

Also once your sky gradient has dried you can make yellow sun on the ring finger nail. First make a white circle and then fill that in with yellow, this help the yellow sun to stand out.

Tropical Nail Design

Once you have your sky completed, first make a black thick line in-between the sky and water for the land. Then make one large palm tree on the left hand corner of the middle finger nail.

On the ring finger nail make just the palm leaves pecking from the side of the nail.

For the water, make a few white lines for the waves and then some dark blue ones right next to those.

Lastly to complete your design on the thumb, index and pink finger nail we will create a gradient using an orange and a pink holo (even though it looks red). Staring with Holo Taco- Orange Drink, the orange holo and then on the tip of the nail Holo Taco- Hot - Wire Pink,
pink holo that looks red.

Once your nails are vacation ready, apply a top coat to seal in your design and to help it to last.

Hope all of you enjoyed this tropical design and I do plain on doing one more tropical design before summer is official over.

See you next time for more nail fun!
